Welcome to St. Patrick Catholic Community!

St Patrick Catholic Church, located in the heart of Carlsbad, is the foundation of our Catholic community. Our Roman Catholic Community is part of the Diocese of San Diego in beautiful Southern California.

Established in 1943, we are a faith-centered family, serving spiritual and temporal needs by proclaiming the Christian Message of God's love.

For over seventy years we have been a vital part of Carlsbad, helping our parishioners and the community at large.

Our Catholic Community is under the Pastoral Care of priests from the Congregation of Jesus and Mary, better known as the Eudists Fathers. They owe their name to Saint John Eudes who founded the congregation in France in 1643. They share and enliven the life of our parish with their call to Formation and Evangelization.

Share the life of our community, you belong here, because we all belong to Christ.

A Word from the Pastor

November 25, 2020

Advent will be a little different this year. We will all be staying home a lot more to avoid spreading the virus but if you feel safe at the Masses on our covered court, I hope to see you on the next four weekends.

On any of the weekends of Advent, you can receive General Absolution at the beginning of our Masses. This replaces our usual Advent Penance Service. I have recorded a penance service below. I highly recommend that you spend some time listening to it and reflecting on its message prior to receiving General Absolution. It includes music, Scripture, a brief homily and an examination of conscience.

Have a Blessed Advent!

In one Heart,

Fr. Ron
