Welcome to St. Patrick Catholic Community!

St Patrick Catholic Church, located in the heart of Carlsbad, is the foundation of our Catholic community. Our Roman Catholic Community is part of the Diocese of San Diego in beautiful Southern California.

Established in 1943, we are a faith-centered family, serving spiritual and temporal needs by proclaiming the Christian Message of God's love.

For over seventy years we have been a vital part of Carlsbad, helping our parishioners and the community at large.

Our Catholic Community is under the Pastoral Care of priests from the Congregation of Jesus and Mary, better known as the Eudists Fathers. They owe their name to Saint John Eudes who founded the congregation in France in 1643. They share and enliven the life of our parish with their call to Formation and Evangelization.

Share the life of our community, you belong here, because we all belong to Christ.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION as we confront coronavirus/COVID-19

In compliance with the directions of Bishop McElroy, all public Masses and other parish gatherings will not be held. The Mass for each day is recorded and available online. The parish school and all faith formation programs (religious education, youth ministry, Confirmation, RCIA, etc.) are continuing through various modes of distance learning.

  • The church is open for private prayer every day from 7:00am - 11:00am.
  • The parish office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 12:30 pm.
During this time of inactivity, we will use our parish email system to communicate with parishioners to offer spiritual reflections and make announcements.
Please click here to email the parish office. For a staff directory click here.
  • Sacrament of Reconciliation:  In compliance with the guidelines for social distancing, our parish has temporarily suspended the regularly scheduled times for confessions on Saturday afternoon. This decision is also in consideration of the fact that all of our priests are in that age group which is considered “a vulnerable population.” In case of a genuine emergency, call the parish office (760-729-2866) and leave a message. One of the priests will call you back.
  • Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick: Please call the parish office (760-729-2866) and follow the instruction menu.

Our highest priority is the health and safety of our parishioners, students, families, staff and community. Thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times.
