Youth Core Team

The St. Patrick Catholic Church Youth Core Team is a wonderful team to be part of, but it is a serious commitment, equal to that of being in Marching Band or an athletic team at school. As a part of the team, you are depended on by the youth, the youth minister, and other members of the team to live up to the commitment you make.

Team Meetings
Meetings are the Third Sunday of the month and attendance is expected. The core team meetings are held in the youth office from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm. Attendance is very important.

Summer Leadership Camp
Camp Emmaus is a five day summer leadership camp that will be held August 1-5 2010 at Whispering Winds Catholic Conference center in Julian.

Fundraising activities
Fundraising activities are optional however if students do not participate they will be responsible for full payment of activities and trips.

Confirmation I & II Facilitator
Core team members commit to help with one of the confirmation programs on Wednesday nights. Students are assigned to assist with a small group and a confirmation catechist.

Retreats
Students will attend the mandatory annual core team retreat in spring and assist with the annual confirmation retreat.

Commissions
You will select a commission to be part of from the following: Community Building, Justice & Service and Pastoral care/ Advocacy. These committees will be asked to plan and host events according to their definition.
