Reconciliation

This is a sacrament of healing in which we celebrate God’s mercy and unconditional forgiveness of the sins we have committed. We express sorrow for our sins and confess them to a priest. The celebration of the sacrament brings us back to spiritual health in the family of God after we have turned away.

Individual Confession: every Saturday 4:00 – 5:00 pm
Parish-wide Penance Services are held in Advent and Lent

Preparation for First Reconciliation
Those preparing for the sacrament will according to their maturity level:
• Understand the importance of relationship and how they are broken down through sin
• Grow in awareness of what sin is, of oneself as a sinner, and of the importance to form
a good conscience
• Learn about the need to express sorrow and seek forgiveness from God and the Christian
community, and to live a life committed to forgiving others.
