Volunteer Opportunities
Bulletin Insert Team
When "flyers" or other handouts have to be put into the weekly bulletin, a small
team of volunteers inserts them on Friday morning.
Coffee and Pastries
Parishioners prepare coffee and serve beverages and pastries after the Sunday morning Masses.
The schedule for Coffee and Pastry ministry is prepared quarterly; volunteers can expect to be scheduled
about twice each month.
Fraternity House (760-434-5248)
The Saint Patrick Community is responsible for providing Saturday night meals for residents at
Fraternity House, the only licensed residential Aids shelter in North County.
Garage Sale
Ye Olde Garage Sale provides clothing, housewares, books, toys, etc., to the public at "give-away" prices
from the tax-deductible donations we receive. Our earnings are turned over to the Church and are used
for scholarships to Saint Patrick School as well as outreach and assistance to the needy.
We are located at the far end of the North parking lot, and are open three days a week: Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Gardeners
Would you like to help beautify the Church grounds? You can give any amount of time on any day
that you choose.
Phone Shepherds
Do you like meeting new people? Do you have a couple of hours a month that you could use to help
the parish? Phone Shepherds call new parishioners; they welcome them to the parish and make sure
all their questions or needs have been addressed by the appropriate ministries.
Prayer Chain
The prayer chain acts when prayers are needed immediately for a special intention. Members
are informed by telephone and contact a small number of parishioners who, in turn, telephone others.
The prayer chain is an ideal opportunity for those who are homebound to give to the parish community.
Signers for the Hearing Impaired
If you can assist our hearing impaired members, please telephone the office to volunteer.
