Community Services provides emergency food and clothing, bread distribution, holiday assistance to families, and many more outreach activities that benefit the community as a whole.

Transient clients
Are routinely referred to the resource center, ecumenical services, La Posada or
Brother Bennos for further assistance.
Emergency Food Boxes
Are available for families as well as food packages for migrant and transient clients.
Voucher Program
Permits obtaining clothing from Saint Patrick’s thrift store.
Crisis Intervention
Referrals are made to the appropriate agencies in these situations.

Community outreach is made available to community service agencies and programs which
require a centrally located facility to provide their services. At present the WIC program, Catholic Services, Immigration services,
Women’s Resource center & Domestic Violence, Women’s Prayer group, AAA Meetings, Institute classes, Sera Club Spanish Choir,
Diocesan Institute Classes.
Employer Referral Services
One of our most successful programs, in terms of problem solving for families is employment referral.
Clients are interviewed and a thorough employment intake is prepared. Employers are interviewed to determine their specific needs.
They are supplied with a contact list of names of prospective employers which are emphatically advised that these clients are not
known on a personal basis and that screening and or a background checks are their sole responsibility.
Other Services
Advocacy services, technical assistance, information and referral services the most frequent Services rendered by clients are regarding correspondence written in English, which they have received, such as unemployment forms, welfare and medical reports, rental and employment applications. Referrals are made to the appropriate agencies serving the community.
Back to school Programs
This program often needs a little extra help getting children prepared for a new school year. Anyone wishing to
help out can do so by providing the following, backpacks, school supplies or a gift voucher from Wal-Mart, Target or Penney’s.
These gift cards are used to purchase shoes or clothing for the children.
Holiday Food Distribution
Christmas and Thanksgiving food distribution programs are offered when applications and interviews have been completed.
Families who require assistance during the holidays have food and gift baskets that are provided by the Parish.
Adopt a Family
Another venue to help a family in need by providing additional help to these specific individuals
during the Holiday’s or some groups may choose a onetime connection or may even choose a long term connection which may
include school supplies, birthday’s or other numerous ways to show support for the Parish community.
Postal Food Drive
Program that receives food collected by Postal Employee’s on the 1st Saturday in May along with a
Food share program which is hosted at St Patrick’s Church.
